— Principal - Ian Bond

Pat Cuffe has for many years had a strong and loyal following.  He is, for many, the 'go to advocate' for Magistrates Court trials.  His effective cross examination is 'half charm and half attack dog'.  Pat is particularly expert in animal welfare and animal neglect law and is regularly instructed to act for defendants in RSPCA prosecutions.

Recent cases of interest include:

  • In January 2019, Pat represented an employer called to give evidence at an inquest into the death of his employee whilst at work. The inquest recorded a verdict of death by misadventure. See news report on BBC News.

I have known Pat, as an experienced defence lawyer for over 4 decades. He has prosecuted and defended both as a barrister and solicitor. He has also been involved in the training of court staff and Police officers. I don’t know of a more experienced defence lawyer.
— Anonymous Court Clerk

I was extremely confident that I had instructed the right lawyer from the moment of my initial meeting with Pat. I was recommended him through a Magistrate friend. Pat was extraordinary in court and articulated my defence with great skill and sensitivity leading to my successful acquittal.
